Kitchen Facelifts is the hybrid evolution of our background in specialty finishes, building custom cabinets, and designing kitchens. We took the inspiration to bring these elements together from our own kitchens.
It was perfect 12 years ago, but now wear and tear and wanting new drawers and doors that have soft close, and roll out trays, and...the REAL question:
Do I throw out decent cabinets to start over? And 6 weeks of agony without a kitchen?
Now - there is another option!
Our Goals are simple:
provide the most functional and stylish design possible
make the process as painless and efficient as possible
Process
First meeting
Meet at your home. Talk about what you like and do not like about your space. The cabinets, function of work areas, anything that comes to mind. During that time I will present my portfolio, physical samples of doors and drawers. Also- a ball park of cost, timing and general scope of work.
Second Meeting
Second meeting to present design concepts and a formal written proposal. At that point the team can assess whether it makes sense to move forward, make revisions or go a different direction.
Agreement
Signing of proposal/Deposit/Ordering material/Off site work/Scheduling. All aspects from this point are unique to each project, discussed in great detail.

My Background
Hello! My name is Scott Johnson. My journey into residential design/custom construction started in 1984 (in high school) working for a local interior designer, and building sets at SCPA in Cincinnati. I received my BFA in Set and Lighting design from University of Cincinnati, CCM. I returned from working for an Interior Designer in NYC, and started my own business in 1996. I designed and painted Murals, painted furniture, and more (see scotttheartist.com). The economy led me to join a friend building custom cabinets and then designing kitchens. I am absolutely thrilled to be able to resume this journey...and be the single source for designing, building and painting as much or as little as each customer needs.
