A recirculating, charcoal-filtered hood eliminated the need to penetrate the home's substantial brick exterior, while a speed-cook oven was seamlessly integrated into the island. By closing one entrance, we created space for additional cabinetry, 42" wall cabinets, and new crown molding—significantly improving both storage and proportion.
